When building manager/photographer Henry Warnimont (George Gaynes) learns about her and her story, he temporarily takes her into his home. And no sooner did the 7 year old won the heart of the grouchy old widower and turned his world around. Punky Brewster, although considered a family comedy, tackled several serious issues during its 4 season run including kidnapping, runaways and drugs - where the series is known for launching the popular "Just Say No" anti-drug campaign that became popular during the 80's.
